Advanced Disaster Recovery, Inc. Participates in Industry-wide Movement ‘Restoring Kindness’ Benefiting Local Communities

This is the second year the company has joined the cleaning and restoration industry’s movement

June 15, 2023 (New Hampton, N.Y.) – Advanced Disaster Recovery, Inc. (Advanced DRI), a leading restoration contractor in the Northeast, recently completed ‘Restoring Kindness,’ a month-long initiative designed to make a difference in the communities it serves. 

Spearheaded by C&R Magazine, Restoring Kindness encourages cleaning and restoration companies across the U.S. and Canada to give back to the community with nothing expected in return. The movement was initially started by Kent and Lynn Rawhouser, former owners of A&J Property Restoration in Madison, Wisconsin. The Rawhousers founded their emergency restoration company in 1984 and recognized the important work their business was responsible for carrying out: restoring life after devastation. 

“Many of us fall prey to the routine of life, going to work, completing our tasks, and returning home, but in our line of work, we see devastation often. Our jobs involve remedying damage to homes and businesses from water, fire, or storms,” said Advanced Disaster Recovery, Inc. CEO Greg Boatwright. “This industry-wide initiative is powerful, inspiring every member of our team to remember the impact even small acts of kindness can have on those in our community. Advanced DRI offices across the Northeast engaged in acts of kindness ranging from donations of food to local animal shelters and hosting a food drive, to providing dinner to local firefighters and treating a Little League team to ice cream.

The acts of service were completed throughout the month of May, spanning the company’s service areas of Harrisburg, Pa., Toms River, N.J., Fairfield, N.J., Hawley, Pa., Marlborough, Conn., New York City, and the Hudson Valley.
